Saddles and cradles

Saddles (or cradles) are the ideal method of packaging for cylindrical products such as pipes and tanks of all kinds. These consist of a body of shaped wooden beams covered in rubber to avoid damaging the material. The material must be anchored to the saddles by means of ropes, straps or tapes, stretched with double-screw rods or other suitable systems to ensure tightness. They must be provided with suitable protection to protect the surface of the piece from any rubbing.
